There has been no casualties this month in Iraq. Since 2003, when United States first entered, there has been casualties every month. Suprisingly Afghanistan has had the most casualties this month but mainly due to a 30 death helicopter crash. United States are expected to leave forces there to help with training and support.

  1. I found it interesting as well and a good that the soldiers were unharmed and how its close to being an end to the war. Also, if it keeps going at this rate then the war will be easier to end. This being the first month since 2003 in Iraq without a soldier being killed is a very rare but good thing to see.

  2. The low death toll could be largely from the troop reduction that took place. Regardless of the reason, the current United State Presidential Administration will most definitely claim credit and use it as a campaign issue.

  4. This is such good news!! Regardless of who is going to take credit for this amazing feat, it is one that should be celebrated. To be the first month with absolutely no casualties in 8 years is incredible and a really great sign for not only soldiers over there now, but all Americans. We might actually be getting near the end of this ridiculously long fight, and could possibly have our troops safely home.

In my opinion, I think that the president and all of his administration have had a part in this and should take some credit. He is in charge at the time when our troops have finally been able to come home, and have reached this point in the war. This group of people have had a lot more success in just the fact that they found the most wanted terrorist and now that our troops are finally getting out than our previous predient.
