  1. The people of Egypt have spoken. Freedom, I believe, is an inherent trait associated with all human beings. All people, wherever they live, will always strive to be free. No dictator or despot will suppress the will of the people forever. As witnessed with Egypt, at times it can take a very long time for the people to prevail-but prevail they will. I wish the citizens of Egypt well with their fledgling democracy, and urge them to always remember how ours first started-"We the people"!!!!

  2. Egypt has been a great example of how effective and important it is for people to stand together, in order to fight for what they believe in and I congratulate them for it. However, I suggest that the people of Egypt keep in mind that they need to keep demanding and keep a lookout that their next government upholds the democratic values that they demanded so intently for these past weeks. I am not sure how smooth the transition to the new government will be, but I know that some people are really unhappy that the military is in charge right now because they fear that the military will not want to hand over its power so easily. On another note, I think that it would be great if Mubarak were forced to give the billions of dollars he acquired during his regime to the people of Egypt, thus initiating economic stability within the country. I would think it fair since he made that money through questionable actions that have affected Egyptians, but I do not know how likely that would be.

  3. The people of Tunisia were the first to defy and overthrow their government. Tunisia’s revolt inspired many other countries to do the same; it was like the domino effect. Egypt followed in the footsteps of Tunisia which obviously proved successful for them. The dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak needed to go and finally with the hard work and dedication of the protesters, his regime ended and happiness flooded the streets of Egypt. It looks like Egypt will finally have a brighter future with a real democracy governing them.
