Interview with Ewald von Kleist, 88, a former officer in the German Wehrmacht and the last surviving member of the July 20, 1944 plot against Hitler
Interesting realist sentiment on war

Underscores the complexity of global politics and the difficulty of thinking realistically about humanist solutions to nuclear proliferation and conflict of national interest.

I personally believe that this article is true, there will be another hitler someday, im pretty sure that there is going to be a government fall in one of these governments and someone is going to take advantage of the situation and rise.People in the future should worry about how to prevent things like this from happening, but i believe that it is very unlikely we would be able to.

There is a great comment on the first page of the interview about what Germany's national interests are, and asking who are we actually fighting. He called Al-Qaeda a chimera and an idea. I particularly like this description of something that states are not able to even fully understand let alone defeat using conventional war.
